...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for parts of southwest Arkansas
and northeast Texas.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Gusty south winds are expected today with sustained speeds from 15-20
mph and higher gusts up 25-30 mph. Therefore, a Wind Advisory is in
effect through 7 PM this evening. In addition, isolated to scattered
thunderstorms may develop by late afternoon into the evening hours as
an upper level disturbance shifts across Texas into the middle Red
River Valley. A few storms may become strong with damaging winds and
hail possible, although these threats will be higher just north and
west of the Ark-La-Tex.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Periods of showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the
weekend into early next week along a frontal boundary that will ease
south across the region. Locally heavy rainfall may be possible with
some storms. Periods of heavy rainfall may continue to be a concern
through the middle of next week.

Activation of emergency management personnel, amateur radio
operators, and storm spotters may be needed through tonight.
