This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Tonight. There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop over the South Plains and far southwest Texas Panhandle on Friday afternoon, expanding in coverage while shifting eastward over the Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas Panhandle on Friday evening. Some thunderstorms will likely become severe, capable of producing hail to baseball size and wind gusts to 70 mph. A few tornadoes are also possible. Periods of heavy rain are expected during the afternoon and early evening hours which may result in flash flooding. Chances for strong to marginally severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall continue through the weekend and into next week. Flooding will be a continuous concern through the middle of next week with any storms that do develop. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed on Friday.
