Heat indices will be around 105 to 109 degrees areawide today, with a few locations experiencing values above 110 degrees briefly this afternoon along the seabreeze. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Maximum Heat Index values are forecast to range from 105 to 109 degrees Saturday, and from 110 to 115 degrees Sunday through Thursday. Heat Advisory conditions are likely. Excessive Heat Warnings may be necessary for some South Texas locations Wednesday and Thursday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 105 AND 109 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED TODAY... The combination of warm temperatures and high dewpoints will produce heat indices between 105 and 109 degrees today. A few locations may exceed 110 degrees heat indices this afternoon along the seabreeze, but should be very brief. Residents with outdoor activities planned are urged to drink plenty of water, wear light weight and light colored clothing and take frequent breaks from the heat. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
