...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following county, Starr. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 748 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen overnight. Although the heaviest rainfall is moving out of the area, standing water has been reported on Highway 755 between Rio Grande City and San Ysidro. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following counties, Hidalgo and Starr. * WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 736 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen overnight. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding, especially in urban areas and along frontage roads. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Deep South Texas. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Isolated strong thunderstorms will be possible this morning for much of Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley, with the main threat being strong winds, hail, locally heavy rainfall and localized flooding. There is a Moderate Risk of Rip Currents at area beaches. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday An elevated risk of rip currents will be possible at times through the period. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
