THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 257 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 3 AM CDT SATURDAY IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ATASCOSA BEXAR COMAL GUADALUPE KENDALL WILSON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BOERNE, FLORESVILLE, NEW BRAUNFELS, PLEASANTON, SAN ANTONIO, AND SEGUIN.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas.. .DAY ONE...Tonight. There is a risk for severe storms across the Edwards Plateau and Rio Grande Plains this evening. The highest threat is over far northern Val Verde County with a Level 3 of 5 risk with a Level 1 to 2 of 5 elsewhere over the western Hill Country to the Rio Grande Plains. Large hail and damaging wind are the main threats, however, a tornado cannot be ruled out. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Locally heavy rainfall and minor flooding, as well as, strong storms are possible this weekend into early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated.
