This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon across the South Plains area and adjacent areas of eastern New Mexico. Winds aloft will be unfavorable for storm organization and strengthening with severe weather unlikely. However, continued rich moisture and a slow movement to the storms may lead to heavy rainfall and flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Shower and thunderstorm chances will continue through the seven day forecast. Flooding will be the main concern with any storms that develop while the risk for severe weather will remain small. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
