This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Thunderstorms are possible across the far eastern Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas Panhandle Thursday afternoon. The probability of severe weather remains low. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected on Thursday due to dry and breezy conditions. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the southwest Texas Panhandle and the northwestern South Plains from 12 PM to 10 PM. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for the remaining areas on the Caprock from 12 PM to 10 PM. Sustained westerly winds around 30 mph or greater with wind gusts in excess of 45 mph will be possible on Friday for the entire area. These strong winds will result in critical fire weather conditions. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from 9 AM to 10 PM for the entire area. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will continue through early next week.
