This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to form
in New Mexico or along the state line late this afternoon and then
move east across the area tonight. The highest probabilities for
severe weather will be over the southern Panhandle and northern
South Plains where damaging wind gusts over 70 mph along with large
hail up to 1.5 or 2 inches will be possible. There will be a
marginal risk of sever weather over the southern South Plains and
the Rolling Plains south of Childress.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will be possible on
Tuesday across the Caprock and Rolling Plains. A Fire Weather Watch
is in effect between 10 AM and 9 PM CDT Tuesday.
Beyond Tuesday, the probability for widespread hazardous weather is
