This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon across eastern New Mexico. These storms will then move eastward to the extreme southern Panhandle and South Plains during the evening to overnight hours. The strongest storms will be capable of heavy rainfall potentially leading to localized flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Shower and thunderstorm chances will continue through the seven day forecast. Flooding will be the main concern with any storms that develop while the risk for severe weather will increase mid to late week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
