This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon across the northern Permian Basin. A marginal risk of severe storms exists over this region. Large hail, damaging winds, and torrential rain are the main threats with any severe thunderstorm. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. A slight risk of severe thunderstorms is expected Friday afternoon and evening for areas along and east of the Texas/New Mexico state line. Torrential rain, large hail, damaging winds, and a couple tornadoes may be possible with any severe thunderstorms that develop. Saturday onward will have daily thunderstorm chances during the afternoon and evening across the region. Each day will have the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing torrential rainfall, strong winds, and hail. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
