This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Localized and brief critical fire weather conditions are likely
south of the I-70 corridor this afternoon and evening given
southwest breezes and relative humidity in the single digits and
teens. Quiet weather expected tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
A strong Pacific storm will bring strong winds to northeast Utah
and northwest Colorado Thursday afternoon and evening. A Wind
Advisory is in effect. Gusty winds and low relative humidity will
lead to widespread critical fire weather across southwest Colorado
Thursday afternoon and evening. The Fire Weather Watch has been
upgraded to a Red Flag Warning. A cold front will bring much
colder temperatures Friday into Saturday with accumulating snow
likely across the northern Colorado mountains. A Winter Storm
Watch is in effect. Unsettled weather may linger into Sunday and
Monday, but confidence is low. Temperatures will trend warmer into
early next week.
