At 1239 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Taylorsville, or near West Valley City, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Sandy, Murray, West Jordan, Taylorsville, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Holladay, South Salt Lake, North Salt Lake, Millcreek, Kearns, Mount Olympus, Salt Lake City International Airport, Oquirrh, Mill Creek Canyon, East Millcreek, Cottonwood West and Canyon Rim.
