This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern West Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for northeastern Maryland as well as portions of central Maryland until 10 AM. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday A strong storm system will likely impact the area Sunday into Sunday night. Gusty winds at higher elevations could result in wind damage over the Blue Ridge and Catoctin Mountains. A few thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts are also possible, especially east of the Blue Ridge Mountains Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. Accumulating snow is likely over ridge tops in the Blue Ridge and Potomac Highlands Sunday night. Strong winds over the mountains Monday may result in instances of wind damage. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

The following areas for Maryland, Anne Arundel, Cecil, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Charles, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Prince Georges, Southeast Harford and Southern Baltimore, and northern Virginia, including the following areas, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Central and Southeast Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park, Fairfax, Southern Fauquier and Stafford. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through late Sunday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in creeks and streams to flow out of their banks. Flooding may also occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Two to three inches of rain are mostly likely Sunday through late Sunday night with the heaviest rain falling during the afternoon and evening.
