This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and southern Vermont. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. A strong cold front will move across the region during the late Sunday to early Monday timeframe, potentially leading to strong, gusty winds and a period of heavy rain. Ponding of water on roadways and standing water in low lying areas is possible along with river rises approaching or reaching minor flood stage. Wind advisories may be needed in some areas if confidence increases for winds of 50 mph or greater, especially in higher elevations. There is also a chance that rain may end as a period of accumulating snow Monday morning, especially for higher elevations north and west of Albany. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
