What: This is a Manitoba Emergency Alert. Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued an overland flood warning for most of western and southeastern Manitoba. Recent rains and heavy run off may lead to potentially dangerous situations including flash flooding and extreme overland flooding. If you are in the affected area, take immediate action to protect yourself and property. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters, waters of unknown depth or drive on impacted roads. Move to higher ground if required. Follow directions by local authorities. Listen for updates and take all necessary precautions to stay safe. If you are in the affected area, continue to be watchful of local waterways as flooding is could still occur. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth.
